I’m a webslinger located in Lethbridge, AB. I love all things nerdy, like cartoons and videogames, and am also a bit of a foodie. When I travel, I always keep my eyes out for hot springs and great places to adventure with my wife, Melissa.

Truth be told, I don’t know all that much about Shaylene. I vaguely remember the first few times I noticed her at work (years ago). And every once in a while I run into her in the hallways, so I stop to say hello. What I do know: she’s got that well-dressed, smart girl with …
I first “saw” Paul on a visit to Lethbridge a few years ago. I distinctly remember the plaid Diesel shirt that he had on. Flash Forward to a year later, when I actually moved to Lethbridge; I first “met” Paul at a costume party, he was dressed as an angel, and I was dressed as my interpretation of “the devil wearing Prada”. Paul and I are now friends!

Something about me?
I love finding clothing that no one else has and putting my own spin on
it. My favorite and first place I go to in thrift stores is the jewellery case, I like to think I am great at finding beauty in the obscure and random. I also LOVE making my own clothes, as clothing is the way I try to express myself. Also, I am a natural red head.
Julia, whom I’ve mentioned recently, is one of the bestest waitresses ever. She has served me lots and lots of beer. I mean, a lot. I’m drunk right now actulsaffasy.
One reason I like her is that she always looks great, even when I am sober. This past Sunday I had my camera on hand and asked if she’d oblige to be featured on the blog. So here we go:

Myself! I like to be comfortable, and if I find a piece I think is interesting I find a way to make it work. I am a big fan of layers. I don’t really have one style… I do what I want.

So I am finding that even though we live in a city, sometimes it feels more like a small town. That being said, I now assume that everyone I know, somehow knows everyone else that I know.
Lynol was introduced to me through Paul (who will be profiled in My Style in a couple of weeks), and I couldn’t stop staring; amazing style. When Lynol came in for the shoot, it turns out that he knew Jaime (our photographer), and the story doesn’t end there.
I could go on…but instead you need to see for yourself:

I am frequently thrilled and inspired by the people who walk through the doors of my shoppe. I met Meghan and her mom over a year ago, and look forward to their visits. I love how Meghan is always accessorized, even if it is just a tiny detail; so, I am happy to share her style with you!

I love to shop vintage and accessorize a lot with my outfits. My style is very different from people my age but I am perfectly fine with that because I get to show my real personality. I have a fashion blog that you can check out HERE!
I met Jessica randomly one day on my way back from lunch. She was sitting with an acquaintance of mine, drawing patterns for her fashion class. With her cool tattoos and a dress made from a found skirt, I saw that she had a great style (and an even better smile). She’s pretty natural behind the camera too.
Where’d your outfit come from?
Nearly each layer came from a different place. The shoes were a gem found at Value Village, legwear from Ardenes, shorts from somewhere in California, cardigan and scarf from Wal-Mart, jacket was from Ricki’s and I got my t-shirt when I saw the Vancouver-based band The Jolts play…and then I cut it up.
Style Influences:
Everything: my mood that day, the season, friends, strangers, what music I’ve been listening to, magazines, vintage, comfort, self-expression…I was asked today how I picked my outfits in the morning and I didn’t really know how to answer. I just try stuff on until I’m happy, which is also why I can’t keep my room clean.
Something about me:
I cut my own hair. I like vinyls. And tattoos. I’m good with animals and children. I’m a BC girl, born and raised. I’m pretty weird, but people seem to like it. I like individuals and quirks.

For some time, I’ve seen this cute “cat-eared girl” about the hallways of the college. After some sleuthing via my Lethbridge connections, I was finally able to track her down and get in touch with the girl, who’s coincidentally named Kat.

So one of the blogs that I faithfully check out and am constantly inspired by is The Sartorialist. If you follow Lethbian Love much, most likely you noticed that I have mentioned Joanne Maharaj Lewis and her Edit Shoppe a few times.
