Saturday shots

If there’s one thing I enjoy, it’s stalking people watching. So when some friends invited me to the Home & Garden Trade Show, I jumped at the opportunity (with secret hopes that I would run into a certain someone). Instead, I just saw this guy. He looked very relaxed, so I blamed a fart on him and went on my way, taking photos of other random folks.

Last Lecture now online

Last week, Jenn blogged about ULSU’s “Last Lecture” speaker event, which was held on March 25th. For those of us who missed it, or weren’t allowed on campus because they alledgedly flashed a couple of female students (I swear it was my doppelganger), the presentation is now available online. The Last Lecture (via iTunesU) Jonathan …

The 3rd Annual Film Festival happens tonight. It’s a showcase of student films from the U of L as well as other universities from around Alberta. Even my cousin will be screening her short film, of which I can’t remember the name but know it has something to do with an angel and demon falling …

Adaline’s brush with “Edward Cullen”

Vancouver musician Shawna Beesley (a.k.a. adaline) is reportedly romantically-linked to Robert Pattinson after meeting at a Juno Afterparty at Richards on Richards, a popular music venue in Vancouver. “I’m just happy to have this moment with you.” At that point, he pulled me into an warm embrace… Okay, maybe I skewed that just a little, …

Plenty of hoes at the Home & Garden Trade Show

See what I did there? I used my mad rapper skills and came up with a fresh rhyme. Speaking of fresh, there’s nothing quite like biting into fresh-grown horseradish. It’s hot, like these beats. If you’re into gardening and interior design, like me, check out the Home & Garden Trade show: Guests to the show …

Brocket 99 just won’t die

Brocketologist Kang Chul-su has informed me of a new blog he started, devoted entirely to Brocket 99. If you’ve followed my earlier post, the self-proclaimed expert commented frequently alongside Ernie Scar. The debate got a little heated and inspired Chul-su to start up the blog. There are some interesting stories to be found, such as …

If you could only have one more chance to speak?

Wednesday March 25th the ULSU presents the second annual Last Lecture. As it was founded last year by the 2007/ 2008 Vice President Academic for the ULSU I thought it would be only suiting to sit down with him, mono a mono, and have a grand ‘ole chat about what he envisioned and how he thinks it has played out. Now, I was just too consumed with this week’s BoingBoing guest blogger to sit down and actually talk to Jason so I just asked Jason to interview himself. The following is a direct transcript of that interview.

Saturday shots

Wait, Saturday…and it’s only now Tuesday?! Yes, I’m getting pretty bad, aren’t I? Well a man gets busy trying to track down his money.

Saturday was a beautiful day to break some knees, and my friend Dione was all up for it. We went to the industrial park and shot a few things before drinking a few beers in her backyard, listening to the Chickadees sing. Then Sunday came with its wintery death. Good thing I stayed in that day.
